A Dog’s Life – Puppy Training Agreement
This Training Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into on [Date], between A Dog’s Life ("Trainer") and [Owner’s Name] ("Owner"), regarding the professional training and care of [Puppy’s Name] ("Puppy").
This Agreement sets forth the terms and conditions under which A Dog’s Life will train and care for the Puppy, ensuring a well-mannered and well-adjusted companion that seamlessly integrates into the Owner’s lifestyle.
Training Program Overview
The Trainer agrees to provide a comprehensive, immersive puppy training program in a structured home environment, designed to ensure that the Puppy is well-socialized, obedient, and confident in various real-life settings.
The Training Program Includes:

House Training & Crate Training – Teaching the Puppy to eliminate outside, follow a structured routine, and remain comfortable in a crate.

Obedience Training – Teaching commands such as Sit, Down, Place, Stay, Come, Heel, Off, and Lets Go to ensure reliable behavior.

Socialization & Confidence Building – Exposure to new people, animals, environments, sounds, surfaces, and real-world situations (e.g., cafes, car rides, urban settings).

Leash Manners & Off-Leash Reliability – Ensuring the Puppy walks politely on a leash and builds recall skills.

Behavioral Development & Prevention – Preventing common issues such as jumping, nipping, excessive barking, separation anxiety, and resource guarding before they develop.

Lifestyle Integration – Customizing training to the Owner’s lifestyle, including exposure to travel, boating, office environments, children, or other pets, as applicable.

Veterinary & Grooming Desensitization – Preparing the Puppy for stress-free visits to the vet and groomer.
Owner Responsibilities
While the Trainer provides professional training, the Owner plays a key role in ensuring long-term success by:

Providing Accurate Information
The Owner agrees to disclose any preferences, concerns, or lifestyle factors that may impact the selection and training of the Puppy. -
Understanding the Training Timeline
The Owner acknowledges that they will not meet or take possession of the Puppy until training is completed at approximately six months of age. -
Following Training Recommendations
The Owner agrees to follow all training guidelines to maintain the Puppy’s behavior after transition. -
Attending the Handover Session
The Owner must participate in the final training session and scheduled follow-ups to ensure a smooth transition. -
Maintaining Proper Care
The Owner agrees to provide veterinary care, appropriate nutrition, and a safe home environment post-training. -
Complying with Breeder Requirements
If the selected breeder requires a contract, the Owner must review, sign, and abide by its terms, including any spay/neuter agreements, breeding restrictions, or health guarantees.
Failure to follow training protocols may result in a decline in the Puppy’s behavior, for which the Trainer is not responsible.
Training Duration & Fees
The Owner agrees to enroll the Puppy in one of the following training programs:

Luxury Puppy Raising Program (8 Weeks to 5-6 Months Old) – $15,500 - $28,000+

A complete training experience, ensuring housebreaking, obedience, manners, and off-leash reliability.

Custom Puppy Training Program – Priced based on training duration & customization

Designed for Owners needing specialized training or extended services.

Deposit & Payment Terms

A non-refundable deposit of $1,000 is required to secure a training spot.

The remaining balance is due before or upon the Puppy’s arrival for training.

Training fees are non-refundable once the program begins.
Health & Safety Requirements

The Puppy must have received its first round of vaccinations (including distemper and parvovirus) before entering the program.

The Owner must provide a signed health certificate from a licensed veterinarian confirming that the Puppy is free from contagious illnesses.

The Trainer reserves the right to decline or remove a Puppy from training if undisclosed health or behavioral issues pose a safety risk.

The Owner remains financially responsible for all veterinary expenses incurred during training, except for injuries caused by Trainer negligence.
The Trainer follows all best practices for safety, hygiene, and wellness to ensure the Puppy’s health and well-being during the program.
Liability Waiver & Risk Acknowledgment
The Owner acknowledges that, while every effort is made to provide a safe and structured training experience, puppies are living animals and behavior can never be 100% guaranteed.
The Owner agrees to release and hold harmless A Dog’s Life, its trainers, employees, and affiliates from any liability, claims, or expenses related to the Puppy’s participation in training, including but not limited to:

Minor injuries, illnesses, or accidents that may occur during training.

Any behavioral outcomes post-training, as success depends on the Owner’s commitment to reinforcement.

Any damages caused by the Puppy after leaving the training program.
The Trainer will make every effort to ensure that the Puppy receives exceptional training and care but cannot guarantee that behavior will remain consistent without ongoing reinforcement by the Owner.
Program Completion & Follow-Up Support
At the conclusion of training, the Puppy will be transferred to the Owner, along with:
✔ A comprehensive handover session to review training, routines, and commands.
✔ A transition plan to ensure a smooth adjustment into the Owner’s home.
✔ Continued support via follow-up calls, resources, and training materials.
✔ Lifetime access to additional guidance as needed (fees may apply for in-person follow-up sessions).
If the Owner requires additional training beyond the agreed-upon program, these services will be available at an additional cost.
